—WELCOME TO OWN YOUR PATH
Coaching built for the leap into life
The years around leaving school-based services are some of the hardest to navigate — and the moment support most often disappears. Own Your Path exists to fill that gap.
We provide structured, one-on-one coaching that helps neurodivergent teens and young adults build the executive-functioning, self-advocacy, and independent-living skills that carry them into college, work, and adult life. Our specialization is autism, grounded in our founder's clinical background and dissertation research on college-transition programming — and the same model extends to the broader neurodivergent community and to neurotypical clients who benefit from the same support.
Every engagement is individualized, not a fixed curriculum. We work one or two goals at a time, toward a definition of success the client helps write!
“Independence isn’t something we do for our clients. It’s something we help them build — on their own terms, at their own pace”
—WHO WE SUPPORT
Coaching for the transitions that matter most
Individualized coaching for the people navigating — and supporting — the move toward independence. A formal diagnosis isn't required to start.
-
Building self-advocacy, executive-functioning systems, and the foundational skills that carry into adulthood — matched with one coach, virtually, wherever you live.
-
Structured support for the transition to college, a first job, or independent living — with the same coach and time each week so momentum builds instead of resetting.
-
Our Guided Path parent coaching helps you make the shift from manager to coach — aligning your support with your child's plan, including the sometimes counterintuitive work of allowing room for natural consequences.
—HOW IT WORKS
Four steps from first call to first goal
A clear, low-pressure path in — so you know exactly what to expect before anything begins.
1
Free Consultation
A ~20-minute virtual call to talk through your goals and confirm coaching is the right fit. No commitment.
Intake & Match
2
You complete intake and social-history forms, and we match you with the right coach and a recurring weekly time.
Coaching Plan
3
Your coach builds an individualized plan — the first one or two goals and how success will be measured.
Weekly Coaching
4
Same coach, same time, every week — with progress reviewed formally every 90 days and goals updated as you go
—OUR COACHING MODEL
Every Own Your Path coach is certified in the same model before taking a client, so you receive the same rigorous, individualized method no matter who you're matched with. Grounded in research, designed for the client to lead, and affirming of what fits our clients’ lives, starting with strengths first!
One named, teachable method — delivered consistently
Grounded in Research
Built on transition research — including our founder's dissertation on college transition for students on the autism spectrum — it actually predicts success: preparation, learning the target environment, goal-setting, self-advocacy, and an aligned support system.
Self-Determination as the Aim
The brand name is the thesis: the client is the author of the plan, not a passenger in it. Coaching builds the client's own capacity to choose and act — then the coach steps back. Goals are co-authored in the client's words, toward a future they choose.
Neurodiversity-Affirming
The goal is a life that fits the client — not one that masks who they are. Coaching is strengths-first and works with neurodivergent communication, sensory, and processing differences rather than trying to erase them.
The session builds skills for the real world
Every session follows the same six-part loop and ends with an agreed real-world action the client takes in their own life that week. The next session begins by reviewing how it went. Progress is measured against each client's own goals and reviewed formally every 90 days.
1
Check-in — how last week's action went
2
Skill focus & guided practice
3
Agree the real-world action for the week
4
Reflect & capture the action plan
The session builds skills for the real world
Every family navigates two transitions at once
— GUIDED PATH-PARENT COACHING
Guided Path is our dedicated parent-coaching track. It supports the second transition—the parent's shift from managing their child's life to coaching and providing steady support for a growing adult.
Parent coaching isn't a separate service in its own lane — it exists to align the people around your young adult behind the same plan, so well-meaning support reinforces independence instead of quietly replacing it.

The principle: allowing room to struggle
"Our job is shifting from protecting you from failure to helping you get good at recovering from it. Sometimes I'm going to hold back on purpose — not because I stopped caring, but because you learn this by doing it, and I trust you to."
The one firm boundary — safety. This never applies where real harm is possible: physical or medical safety, legal jeopardy, exploitation, or any risk of harm. There, parents step in without hesitation.
The arc of the journey
Guided Path moves through four phases — starting with how you see the transition, and ending with a roadmap your family owns.
Your own well-being runs through all four. Sustaining the parent is treated as part of the work, not an afterthought.
Twelve modules sit beneath these phases. Your coach sequences them to your family's goals and pace — it's a flexible spine, not a fixed class you march through in order.
